10-Day Delhi to Kashmir, Himachal & Uttarakhand Tour

Day 1: Delhi to Srinagar (Kashmir) – 850 km / ~1.5 hrs by flight OR 14–16 hrs by road/train
A long drive best done with an overnight stop in Jammu for rest. Direct Delhi to Srinagar by road is very tiring and not recommended in a single stretch.
Places to visit upon arrival in Srinagar:
Dal Lake – Shikara ride
Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh
Shankaracharya Temple
Local markets for handicrafts and dry fruits

Day 2: Srinagar to Katra – 270 km / Approx. 7–8 hours
Scenic drive through the Kashmir and Jammu regions.
Highlights:
Quick stop at Patnitop (optional)
Evening at leisure in Katra
Prepare for the Vaishno Devi trek next day

Day 3: Katra → Vaishno Devi → Katra – 27 km (round trek) / Approx. 10–12 hours
Early morning trek to Vaishno Devi Shrine and return by night.
Key points during the trek:
Banganga – Starting point
Ardhkuwari – Midway resting place
Sanjichhat – Last stop before the shrine
Vaishno Devi Bhawan – Main temple cave

Day 4: Katra to Manali – 430 km / Approx. 12–13 hours
Long journey through Jammu, Punjab, and into Himachal Pradesh.
Evening in Manali:
Stroll along Mall Road
Relax and prepare for next day’s sightseeing

Day 5: Manali Local Sightseeing
Full day of exploring Manali and surrounding areas.
Popular attractions:
Solang Valley – Paragliding, ATV rides
Rohtang Pass (seasonal access) – Snow and views
Hadimba Temple
Old Manali – Cafes, river walk, local markets

Day 6: Manali to Shimla – 250 km / Approx. 8–9 hours
Drive through scenic Himachal hills and valleys.
Evening in Shimla:
Walk on The Ridge and Mall Road
Visit Christ Church and nearby viewpoints

Day 7: Shimla Sightseeing
Explore the colonial charm and hill attractions.
Places to visit:
Kufri – Horse riding, snow park
Jakhoo Temple – Cable car and viewpoint
Shimla State Museum
Lakkar Bazaar and Scandal Point

Day 8: Shimla to Rishikesh – 270 km / Approx. 9 hours
Descending from hills to the spiritual plains of Uttarakhand.
Evening in Rishikesh:
Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat
Visit Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula
Option to explore Beatles Ashram or yoga centers

Day 9: Rishikesh to Haridwar – 20 km / Approx. 1 hour
Short drive between the two pilgrimage towns.
In Haridwar:
Attend Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri
Visit Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples via ropeway
Walk in local markets for religious items and sweets

Day 10: Haridwar to Delhi – 230 km / Approx. 6 hours
Return to Delhi, concluding the tour.

Meerut – Historical city with local cuisine options
